I'm a darker shade of green - once again!

I JUST DISCOVERED THIS BLOG. i SAIL ALOT OUT EAST, MOSTLY GARDINER'S AND NOYAK. WHAT'S A GOOD PLACE TO GO FOR A WESTERLY. THAT'S WHAT THEY'RE PREDICTING THIS SUNDAY.

Hi Mike! Out east for West and WNW you want Sebonac Inlet, particularly from low tide until mid ebb, though west winds are solid there at any time. Sebonac Inlet is at the end of Sebonac Inlet Road in North Sea...you can also find it on the Long Island Windsurfing Map (part of this blog...the link to the right say "Long Island Windsurfing Map" or just Google "Long Island Windsurfing Map.

If the wind goes NW we usually sail either Meschutt Park (Hampton Bays) or Iron Pier Park (Northville on the North Fork).

I'm guessing we've met at Gardiners (I'm the guy in the white helmet who sucks) but if not, I look forward to perhaps meeting you on Sunday!

I'm sure we have seen each other.
I looked last Sunday at Sebonic. It was westerly about 15-20. Decided to head back to Noyak Bay. It was windier there. Besides, no one was out at Sebonic.

Sunday we thought it was going to be SSW and so drove to Cupsogue...and got skunked!

who's sailing tomorrow and where?

North Fork...Mattituck Yacht Club is the call on this southerly.

"It's good to have a shredmobile" my friend Caldwell said, so I made one. It's a Ford E150 cargo van done up with lumber and k-mart plastic boxes.
