(Two people...see the comments...have expressed doubt that it's Robby Naish in the photo. My world is shaken...I've seen this thing before and been told that it's Robby, but examing the original art with a magnifying glass (and blowing it up in Photoshop) provides inconclusive results. So maybe I screwed this up. The original post is below...meanwhile I'm going to search for an answer elsewhere. What follows is my original post:)
I was at my mom's place looking through a group of framed family photos when I noticed some old packaging stuck inside the back of one of the frames. I pulled it out and there was Robby Naish, on what looks like a late 80's Neil Pryde rig. The Babe Ruth of windsurfing in a stock photo...I wonder how many windsurfers bought the frame back in the day and just put it on their mantlepiece.

Don't think that's Naish........

Me neither, Pete (I always remember Gaastra sails and Mistral boards). Making this an unusual photo. Do you think it's a Robby lookalike? I met Robby at an in-store appearance years ago...when questions on equipment came up he said "I don't just know my (Naish) stuff...I've sailed on everything".

can't quite tell from the small pic ,but it doesn't look like him.I'm sure he sailed a lot of different gear but when it came to photo shoots I'm sure he was on Gaastra.

Missed you at the Bowl today, John. It may have been cold, but the air smelled like the Carribean...it was gorgeous, waves 4-6 feet.

Robby was always with Mistral and therefore would have used Gaastra sails before he set up Naish Sails.

..............also that is definitely not his stance on the board - never seen him standing like that even when he was just a 13 year old World Champ.
