I haven't windsurfed in ages. Haven't sailed a full day since April. So when Peconic Jeff catches a midweek sesh as he did last week, I need to hear all about it. Shredding vicariously, if you will. Jeff said:
"Caught a solid 2 hrs with a flat 5.2 & 100L this late afternoon on the Great Peconic. Numerous planing jibes and only a few lulls. The main downside was the water smelling like chicken poop after all the rainfall."
Jeff had chickens as a boy so he knows his shit. He also observed that according to the Southampton Press, the western Shinnecock Bay is seeing a brown tide algae bloom.
I'm hoping the Peconic stays blue-green, and really hoping for some wind.
