I signed up with ABK at Napeaque. Now wondering where to stay/ hoping to transfer my reservation from Hither Hills. Any thoughts on the closest camping locale or very reasonable accommodations? Enjoy camping, would hate to cancel and actually look forward to checking out a new sail location. let me know your thoughts.
Thanks Tom deHaan

Tom, I know of no camping locations anywhere in the area. Also, "very" reasonable accomodations in the Hamptons is a bit of an oxymoron. I recommend calling Hampton Watersports and asking Jon Ford for recommendations. 631-283-3682. I've never stayed at any of them, but there appear to be comparitively inexpensive motels very close to Tiana (on the road that leads to the Ponquogue bridge.)

i believe u can camp at cupsogue beach, i know they do with trailers etc.check with suffolk cnty parks.

Indian Island County Park is only 20 minutes away. They have sites for both campers and tents: http://www.suffolkcountyny.gov/Departments/Parks/Parks/indianislandCountyPark.aspx

I believe Cupsogue and Shinnecock East are campers only, no tents.

"It's good to have a shredmobile" my friend Caldwell said, so I made one. It's a Ford E150 cargo van done up with lumber and k-mart plastic boxes.
