MECOX-the Yacht Club
Wind: W20 knots
After 2.5 months without decent wind or a decent left arm, Saturday's session was a welcome return to the water. In the morning some men gathering oysters (oysterers? I've heard of clammers...) looked at me like I was a guy who was going to splash around in 50 degree water and 45 degree air for fun. That was fine...at least it was sunny. Ripped around on a 6.2 and Calamity Too for an hour, and caught site of a half dozen puffins back for the winter. When they've really arrived they like to hang out by the hundreds, so these must be early birds.
After an hour the wind came up to about 25 and I thought I'd pack it in as opposed to rig down, giving the dinged elbow a rest. But as soon as I got home Massimo called, and an hour or so later we were back out at it.
Mass and Karin have invited me over for dinner and wine. I've hit the jackpot...Karin's a fine cook, and Mass has the best wine.
