Walking on to the beach after zipping around Napeague on my a 5.5 (the new beloved) a yet-dry windsurfer approached for details about the wind. I said that in a perfect world, I'd be on a 5.3.
"OH, A FIVE THREE...HOW PARTICULAR!"
Dude, you asked.
It was a great day. Even aforementioned dude and his crew were great. It was all fun, wind and sun, with quite a few "first sessions of the year" going on. Got to sail with Dana and Andy, the family that freestyles together. And who isn't happy being ever so lightly overpowered? Very nice!

Now what's wrong with being so particular. I have often had that feeling of a .2 of a meter less and I would be perfectly comfortable!

Now you know why a 5.0 is a must have in every quiver. The .2 makes a difference in the 5.0-6.0 range.
