The windsurfing has been pretty thin lately on Long Island. Forecasts of big days have missed completely, and when today (which iWindsurf had painted all in reds and purples...honkadelic) started out sans whitecaps, I felt the fear.
What if it's never windy again?
But around 1pm it went off WNW, and Sebonac Inlet was the call. While the wind was up and down (up was sweet 5.0) and the classic Sebonac ramps didn't really set up, nobody complained too much, as we were all just happy to be out there. On the water were three men named John (the Wolf, Ford, and CPU) as well as Scott, Peconic Jeff, and Sebonac newcomer Brook. The wind died around 4:30, and while half of us derigged, there was a reward for Jeff, Scott and the Wolf when it came back up half an hour later.
My fingers are crossed for Sunday.

Dog it's been windy in the Bay Area. Sailing has been great!
It's always good to get out on the water.

Glad to hear you're out there...what are you sailing? Long board? Big sailboat? Little sailboat? Kayak/canoe/surfski? Dog (Horse) you've got more watertoys than a puffin can shake a stick at!
