Yesterday's post fretted about the possibility that Ponquogue (the so very friendly wave sailing spot for E and ENE) might somehow have had its bottom tweaked, as recent sessions have not featured the classic clean, generous and well-behaved waves of yore. Jonathan Ford commented that my worries were all for naught, and just one day later he was proved right: Yesterday saw be-yute-ee-ful conditions at Ponquogue. Sailing shoulder-high swell on a 5.5 alongside Jon, Bill B, Fisherman, Scott, and Mr. VanderWolf, the session was capped by the two longest wave rides in my fledgling wave career.
But more importantly, Ponquogue ain't busted.
For me that would be the nicest height but would prefer a smaller size of sail. Still green with envy though!
