Subject: re Cupsogue Sun Morning
Very nice day! I was on 5.5 and 5.0 (most of the day 5.0) the Wolf
5.2 & 4.7. Also there Scott, CD and Jon Ford. One other sailor that I didn't know
was also sailing...he wasn't very chatty (but he could windsurf!)
Warm, steady winds, very friendly water (no real shore break). The
waves were neither big (4 feet) nor particularly long, but they were
fun. You could chases them all the way into that little bowl to the
east of the launch without fear of being unable to get back out.
Good jumping. I hesitate to use the word "improve" but I had several
of my all-time best starboard jumps today. There was a seal hanging
out for awhile, and overall it was a beautiful, comfortable day, and
we sailed to exhaustion (which coincided with a fine sunset).
I'm a darker shade of green - once again!

Hi Mike! Out east for West and WNW you want Sebonac Inlet, particularly from low tide until mid ebb, though west winds are solid there at any time. Sebonac Inlet is at the end of Sebonac Inlet Road in North Sea...you can also find it on the Long Island Windsurfing Map (part of this blog...the link to the right say "Long Island Windsurfing Map" or just Google "Long Island Windsurfing Map.
If the wind goes NW we usually sail either Meschutt Park (Hampton Bays) or Iron Pier Park (Northville on the North Fork).
I'm guessing we've met at Gardiners (I'm the guy in the white helmet who sucks) but if not, I look forward to perhaps meeting you on Sunday!

I'm sure we have seen each other.
I looked last Sunday at Sebonic. It was westerly about 15-20. Decided to head back to Noyak Bay. It was windier there. Besides, no one was out at Sebonic.
