When is a session a session? And did I have a session on Monday at Cupsogue?
Time on the water? Check.

I did no wave riding.
Several waves rode me.
And so on.
It had been shaping up to be a fine session. Sunny and breezy, we looked out on large waves...well fed and muscular, with some beautifully sculpted six to eight footers on the outside. But the wind was just not enough. Scott and the Wolf got out briefly on 5.2's but then were seen shlogging, as was Bill Barber and a fellow named Halsey. I hit it with a 5.5 and Jon Ford came with his 5.8, but one planing run was about it before a whole lot of near planing and falling.
I had one highlight...shlogging and semi-planing over increasingly large walls of whitewater, I ultimately got steamrolled by the biggest wad of foam I've ever met shlogging...four feet of white. It was a thrill I need not repeat.
