I think windsurfing or surfing with dolphins would be thrilling. Sharing the waves with an orca I'm not up for, however. I'll take a pass. I'll watch. The fellow in the photo chose to stay out. "There was no way I was going in because the waves were too good," he told Australia's Surfing Life. I'll bet he didn't crowd the big guy, though.

On the same day these orcas "shared" some waves with the local Taranaki Windsurfers at Pungarehu. (Here's a link to some video on Youtube.)

Section 7, Paragraph 4, part D of the Surfer code of conduct states. When encountering a marine creature surfing the same wave the surfer with the larger teeth shall have right of way. This rule applies in all situations even if said Marine creature clearly dropped in.
