I concur! Thermals are the only thing that can save us from insanity. I'm so desperate I have my 8.0 ready to go in case it picks up.....

Even Heckscher has been lacking in the wind dept lately. I've gotten one day a week, but usually it's more than that this time of year. We had a good easterly on Wed. I sailed 5.9 and 5.3. Guys that were there earlier were on smaller stuff. I ended up taking a run over to the flats with a couple of guys while I ws on the 5.3. If you've never been to the flats across the bay from Heckscher, it's about a 3/4 mile stretch of knee to waist deep water in between the boat channels. It's Bonaire flat! Waaaaayyyy flatter than Napeague. Freestyle and speed freak heaven. You just have to get there. You don't realize how far you are out there until the ferry passes between you and Heckscher and it's just as far out from that side as when you see it from the beach. See you o the next windy day.

"It's good to have a shredmobile" my friend Caldwell said, so I made one. It's a Ford E150 cargo van done up with lumber and k-mart plastic boxes.
