We went through a long stretch of not much to look at here at Peconic Puffin World Headquarters, largely due to Peconic Jeff not having a camera. He's lensed up once again, and while perusing Jeff's excellent Flickr collection I stumbled on this beauty:
I remember those clouds...it was race day at West Neck (though Jeff took this further east where he and the regular crew were bumping and jumping.) Any time the clouds are unusual or the sunset fine, Jeff just can't take photos fast enough!
Every once in a great while I find myself in awe of a photo of a sailboat in heavy action.
The boat is 'Alegre', I found the photo on Bunt's Blog (fresh from Malta!) Bunty found it on the Rolex Middle Sea Race website.
