The Bowl lost quite a bit of sand last week, making the prospect of launching and landing there a bit less appealing. We'll have to grab a few sessions there to see if the waves have been affected (hey maybe they're better!) but the exposed pilings and rocks by the jetty are not going to be our friends. Hopefully the beach will fill in again.
(Top: "Bowlhenge" photo by Peconic Jeff. Bottom: The prime spot to launch at the Bowl had been from the sand right next to the jetty. Now a rockpile has been exposed.)
mike years ago we used to jibe right around those pilings!!i have pics of it.
