For a number of us, those Puffins and Wind Chimps and assorted Fools On The Water under the age of 60 or 50...the Wolf is our beacon. He turned 70 this week. 70! And he's still out there. Every time Jan vanderWolf catches a wave or launches off a ramp, we're hopeful for ourselves, that we can be out there decades from now. Also we're having a good time, because let's face it: The Wolf is fun to sail and paddle with. "The Stoke of the Wolf" Jeff calls it.
So Happy Birthday Jan! May we get some conditions soon!

When was that jump photo taken? I wish I had that form in the air!

I agree, the Wolf has excellent form, he hangs like a true windchimp. That shot was taken on a 4.2 Sebonac nuker two springs ago http://www.peconicpuffin.com/the_peconic_puffin/2012/03/whitecap-city-at-sebonac.html

Brilliant - I love hearing these stories. My hubbie and I were just commenting the other day that here in Malta the average age of a windsurfer is close to 50. I wonder if Simmer sails will come out with a range called Zimmer in the future!
