This is why foils shine. My foil buddy and I were out Sunday on 8.0/7.4 respectively. Barely a whitecap - I think we saw a handful all day. We flew. It totally distorts what you think is windy.

It's a bit of a learning curve but absolutely worth it.

Alex Morales of Tillo hooked me up with my used foil. Here he is in 6-10 (sail is 8.4).
